Every paper is peer-reviewed by at least 2 reviewers, with a decision within about 10 days.

At least one co-author registers and presents the paper in person in Málaga.

Publication details Present once. Publish twice.

Use the template as-is
Use the FES2027 Word or LaTeX template exactly — don’t change margins, fonts, headings or columns.
Authors & affiliations
Fix the final author order before submission, matching the submission system. Full affiliation with country; one corresponding author with a working email.
Title, abstract & keywords
Concise title. Self-contained abstract of max. 250 words, no references. 1–7 keywords.
Figures, tables & equations
Numbered and cited in the text, with captions. Editable tables and equations — no screenshots. Photos ≥ 300 dpi.
References
Every citation matches a reference and vice versa. Check names, year, pages and DOI. Web references need URL + access date.
Declarations
Acknowledgements and funding in a section before the references. Declare any conflicts of interest. Get permission for reused copyrighted material.
Research data
Deposit and cite relevant data or code in a repository where possible — or explain why it can’t be shared.
Use of AI tools
AI can’t be an author. Disclose any AI help in writing in a declaration before the references (grammar checking excluded). Never use AI to create or alter research images or results.
Originality: your paper must not be under review elsewhere, and all authors must approve the submission. After acceptance, the corresponding author usually has 2 days to return proof corrections.

Submission of Full Papers
Authors are invited to submit their full papers online by 15-Jan-2027. Full papers should be 3–10 pages, following the Procedia Computer Science template. Papers longer than 10 pages are subject to an extra-page fee. All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 reviewers per paper, and acceptance is notified on a rolling basis within about 10 days.

- Paper length: 3–10 pages; papers over 10 pages incur an extra-page fee.
- Use the official template and follow the Elsevier guide for authors.
- All accepted and presented papers are published Open Access in Procedia Computer Science (Elsevier), indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
- Authors of all accepted papers are invited to submit an extended version to Smart Energy Systems (SES) — Open Access, no APC.
- There is Rolling Notification for early submissions.
- There is no abstract submission stage in FES2027 — authors are invited to directly submit their full papers.
- To be included in the conference proceedings, at least one co-author of each accepted paper must be registered for the conference and present it in location.
